An EMU student and a non-student reported to the Eastern Michigan University Police Department they were robbed at approximately 2:40 a.m. this morning in the 300 block of N. Normal Street.

According to the release, they were approached by two males and one of the men asked the victims an unspecified question.The second man then demanded money.When the victims told the men they did not have any money, they observed one of the suspects holding what appeared to be a handgun by his side.

The second suspect then demanded the victims give him the beer they were holding.Once the suspects obtained the beer, they fled the scene.

Neither victim reported any injuries.

The release describes the suspects as follows:

Suspect #1: African American male, early 20’s, unknown height and weight, medium build, last seen wearing a red shirt, red baseball style hat, and blue jeans.

Suspect #2: African American male, early 20’s, 6 feet tall, thin to medium build, last seen wearing a blue/white polo, blue jeans, and was possibly armed with what the victims believed to be a handgun.
